The following services are provided in the General Library: the lending and return of books, magazines, CD ROMs to accompany books and videocassettes via the automated lending system; the information system will help you find your way around the library stock and look for specific documents. Books are mainly located in the lending library itself, with some stock also kept in store. Fiction is organised according to the first two letters of the author's surname and divided into a number of different genre. Each genre of fiction if marked with a specific colour.

Non-fiction is classified under thematic units according to Universal Decimal Classification marking and then arranged on individual shelves according to book/call number. The individual categories of Universal Decimal Classification are clearly marked in specific colours. For this reason it is necessary to copy in the location of the required document and its book/call number when searching in the electronic catalogue.
