The British Centre of the Liberec library is located in the Study Library on the 1st floor. Here you will find some wonderful fiction and non-fiction, including higher level English textbooks and textbooks and aids for Cambridge examinations. The basis of this stock of materials is a collection of documents purchased with the help of the British Council. These are marked with the British flag on the spine and with a British Council sticker inside. The other books have mainly been given as donations. Cassettes and CDs which are an inherent part of the textbooks can be borrowed from the counter at the Study Library, as can Past Papers from previous ESOL Cambridge exams at all levels. Other cassettes and CDs are found in the Music Department. The collection at the British Centre is also able to boast literature for children and young people that was bought with the help of the British Council. Users will find newspapers and magazines among the foreign periodicals in the Study Library, just as reference literature is found among the other documents of this type.

The British Centre works under the patronage of The British Council, the international British organisation for education and culture, which provides us with funds for the purchase of new documents and all other assistance associated with activity at the centre.
